The Consequences picks up right where The Affair leaves off. Again, we're with the three different perspectives of Robert and Kathy Walker and Stephanie Burroughs. Stephanie has just learned she and Robert were not careful and she is not pregnant with Robert's baby. But, how is she going to continue to climb the corporate ladder with a baby? She doesn't have room for a baby in her condo. Robert and Kathy have decided to work on their marriage after Kathy confronts Robert's mistress Stephanie. Kathy soon finds out Robert is still lying and being deceptive. Is Robert still seeing Stephanie after he swore he would never see her again? Again, I really liked the book but, the repetitiveness was a bit much. Good read any way.
