Mary Kubica, author of The Good Girl, is at it again with her latest novel Pretty Baby. Kubica takes us on a roller coaster of thrills and chills throughout this adventure in which we follow Willow, Chris and Heidi. Young Willow has a baby with her, Ruby, on the streets of Chicago. She is homeless and desperate to remain invisible until a chance meeting with Heidi. Heidi is a married mother who longed for more children, when she sees Willow in a train station. Heidi is always trying to help when she decides it is a good idea to bring both Willow and Ruby into her home. Heidi’s husband Chris and teenage daughter Zoe are far from happy about this new guest living under their roof.
This book takes you all over the place, leaving you wanting more. This book will keep you up late at night. Hands down, this is a must read for 2015. Applause for Kubica yet again.
