Evan has been dealt a bad hand. His wife died of cancer. His son has suffered brain damage in a car accident. Evan has lost his job when he used his company's money to pay for his wife's medical bills, even though he paid the funds back. What is Evan supposed to do now when his son requires so much constant care? Evan's best friend offers up an opportunity for he and his son to housesit on a remote island. It is soon discovered that there is something very, very wrong with this house. Evan is convinced that the house or something within the house is haunted or that he's losing his mind. Which is it? Overall, not a bad read. Reads very quickly. The ending was kinda "wham, bam, thank you mam" to me.
