For Fans of Joe Hill and Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe is taking on a very different role than that of Harry Potter. He is playing the lead role in the film adaptation of Joe Hill's Horns. Radcliffe plays Ig Parrish, a man struggling with the mysterious death of his girlfriend, only to wake up one day with horns beginning to sprout from his forehead. The film originally appeared at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival and is slated for a North American and UK release of October 31,2014. This is a very different role than we've seen Radcliffe in before. Radcliffe felt that this role was not only deeply emotional, but also incredibly outrageous in ways. I am a huge believer in reading books before going to see the movie. I read this one right when it came out. I don't think that it was Hill's best work but, it still held my interest and I finished it. The movie adaptation is receiving mixed reviews as of now.
