Movie Adaptation of Gillian Flynn's Gone GIrl in the Works

How exciting! Who does not love a good book to film adaptation, especially when it is the book's author doing the screenwriting. We are in luck, this is the case for Gone Girl. Fortunately, with Flynn doing the actual screenwriting for the movie, maybe this won't take so long to get made into a movie. Also, there is hope that the movie sticks to the book. I cannot stand going to see a movie based off of a book and the movie is nothing like the book! Gone Girl is the New York Times Bestselling thriller by Gilliam Flynn, recently picked up by Reese Witherspoon's production company, Pacific Standard, along with David Fincher (Zodiac and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), in discussions for directing. Gone Girl was a book that just absolutely blew me away. Throughout the first half of the book I was thinking one thing and BAM! the scond half takes off and is an entirely different angle to the story. Now, that book is being made into a movie.
