Review of The Beloveds by Maureen Lindley

I was fortunate to receive a copy of this from NetGalley.  We all at some time or another have felt that our parents loved one of their children more than the other and Betty Stash is convinced her sister Gloria is a Beloved.  A beloved, according to Betty, is someone who is happy and bright and gets everything they want out of life.  Betty lives her life thinking that their family home will be hers one day.  Betty has felt that she is one with the house, that it speaks to her.  When Gloria inherits the large home and beautiful gardens, Betty is sent over the edge.  We are taken on a journey throughout Betty's downward spiral and is it ever.  This book was so good, with so many twists and turns.  My only real complaint is the ending.  I seriously had to check to make sure I had all of the pages.  I felt somewhat robbed of an ending.  Otherwise, it's a good read.
