In Laura Dave's Eight Hundred Grapes,we meet 30-year old Georgia Ford. While growing up on her family's vineyard in Sonoma, Georgia learned many important secrets. The magical number required to make a bottle of wine is eight hundred. The secret ingredient in her mother's lasagna is chocolate. What is the secret way to end a fight? Hold hands. The week before Georgia's wedding, she discovers her fiance has a devastating secret, a secret that will change their lives forever. Georgia does what she has always done and returns home to her family at the vineyard, expected to be comforted by her parents and brother, but, as it turns out, her fiance is not the only one who has been keeping secrets.
This is the first book I have read by Laura Dave and I have got to say I will be reading more. There were so many twists and turns and secrets being told I could not put the book down. It is not a very long book either so there is a lot happening in a short span of time. Good read :)
