Ok, so I have to be honest here. I have only not finished a handful of books in my entire life but, unfortunately, this is one of them. I made it to page 100 and the story was just not going anywhere for me. We meet three girls, Liane, Ilsa and Fiona, and their mother, Helen. Helen was a folk singer years ago and has lived a very hippy and free lifestyle, never marrying any of the men she bore children with, each coming from another man. I must admit, this bothered me a little, the fact that she could not ever commit to any man, yet intentionally had three kids. Helen's three girls are all struggling with their own relationships with men and I think that the fact the life their mother has led might somewhat be the cause of this. The book is called Mating for Life, yet, it doesn't really seem that any of the women in this book are interested in mating with anyone for life. I am sorry to post this review, however, someone else might truly enjoy this book.
