Ok, so, I know that this book is quite old, however, I have recently gotten into Stephen King (whom my mom has loved since the beginning). I have really grown to enjoy Stephen King and going back to the start with Carrie, was just what I needed. I have seen the original movie several times, yet, had no real interest in reading the book. I just finished and it was so good. I probably could have read the book straight through, start-to-finish.
Carrie is a bit different and we all know just how cruel kids can be, this is nothing new. Carrie's mother is a deeply religious woman, forcing religion upon Carrie. Carrie knows no difference really, as this is all she has ever known. When Carrie is humiliated in the girls' locker room, she makes an interesting discovery, she can move things with her mind.
When the most popular girl in school is banned from the prom for her antics against Carrie White, she seeks revenge on Carrie, however, this is going to prove to be a big mistake.
Pick this up, read it, see just what happens to Carrie and this entire town!
