I couldn't put this book down. I was waking up in the middle of the night just to read more. Throughout this book, we follow Lucy and her mother Lila. When a local girl is discovered in a tree, everyone begins to talk. Lucy is determined to find out what happened to not only the local girl but, her mother. We learn just what family will do for each other. We are also left wondering if we really know those we love. Laura McHugh does a fantastic job with this book. Every page is a new twist and turn.
