Review of Chevy Stevens' Aways Watching
I was so excited for the release of Chevy Stevens' latest book, Always Watching. In Always Watching, we follow Dr. Nadine Lovoie whom we met in Never Knowing. Throughout this book, Nadine struggles with the death and loss of her husband Paul and her daughter, who ran away. Nadine also struggles with the demons from her past. While a child, Nadine, her mother and brother lived in a commune run much like a cult. Nadine has spent years trying to find out why she is claustrophobic and afraid of the dark. As Nadine is treating a patient who attempted suicide, Nadine discovers her patient was residing at the same commune. It is while Nadine treats her patient and subsequently deals with the loss of her patient that Nadine starts to remember things that happened to her while living in the commune.
Throughout this book, there are a lot of twists and turns. It is a good book, however, I was bit disappointed as I didn't like it as much as some of Stevens' other work.
