So I can't remember when I first discovered Andrew Pyper, it was a year or so ago, and when I did, I was just like "wow" this is amazing and since then I have gone back through and read anything and everything by him that I could get my hands on. I just finished yesterday Pyper's The Guardian's and talk about a story about a haunted house. The Guardian's takes us from today to back 24 years ago and we flip between the two visiting a house on Caledonia and a house that has haunted a town for decades. Small towns are known for gossip and keeping things quiet when necessary and that's exactly what happened in The Guardian's. When a young popular high school teach is last seen standing outside the old house on Caledonia and then 24 years later a young girl, the daughter of one of those teenagers from 24 years ago suddenly goes missing, it is up to Trevor to find out what is going on.
Trevor and Randy return to Grimshaw after their childhood friend Ben commits suicide. Ben is the lone Guardian to remain in Grimshaw. He stays to watch after the Thurman house until he can no longer handle watching over the Thurman house.
Pyper truly is a master of suspense and horror, something that you can't find a lot of today. Loved it just like everything else by Pyper I have read up to this point.

Review of Girls' Night Out by Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke
Few books hold my attention like this one did. While I found it just a little slow at first, and that might have been just me, it quickly took off. It was a good, fun adventure.
When Lauren, Natalie and Ashley, friends for almost 20 years, take off on a Mexican adventure to repair their friendship, they are faced with truths and realities. Natalie and Ashley are two YouTube phenoms who created a beauty icon, run a successful company and both married moms. Natalie is desperate to move on from the company she and Ashley have built together but Ashley just can't. Fearing she will have and be nothing without this company they have built, Ashley wants to hold on.
Lauren, recently widowed, holds a grudge against Ashley. She hasn't spoken to Ashley since the day her husband was buried. Can these three repair their rocky friendships and be the close friends they had once been?
Three go to Mexico, however, only two return.

Review of Karin Slaughter's Pieces of Her
I received a copy of Karin Slaughter's latest thriller Pieces of Her - out August 21, 2018. This was my first Karin Slaughter and it was an adventure. This was a lengthy book but the anticipation of just what might be around the next corner was enough for me to still tear right through this one.
Andy has returned home from New York to care for her mother Laura who has been battling breast cancer. When Andy and Laura make a trip to their local mall for lunch, chaos ensues when a young man opens fire. Laura's actions will set in motion a string of events like Andy would never have imagined.
Andy travels across the United States fleeing from what she doesn't know. Andy discovers things about her mother's past that she just cannot believe. Did she ever really know her her mother Laura? As the story unfolds it comes to light that Laura might just not really be Laura.
This was a good read, I enjoyed it. I had a hard time putting it down.

Stay Tuned! Review of Emma Rous' The Au Pair
So I just received today from the publisher an advanced copy of Emma Rous' The Au Pair and I cannot wait to get into this one. I'm working on one now and once I get that finished I will be able to sink my teeth into this one.
If you're a fan of V.C. Andrews or Kate Mortan, you'll likely love this one.

Review - The Bad Seed 2018 - Review of 2018 Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage
OMG!! I have no idea where to start with this one. Have you ever felt your child was out of control? Have you ever felt you might be overreacting to your child's behavior? Have you ever thought you child is worse than everyone else's?
Meet Hannah, a difficult child and meet her parents Alex and Suzette Jensen. Suzette, already in a somewhat fragile state feels their child Hannah is more difficult than others. While, Alex believes Hannah is the ideal little girl, doting on her and treating her like a little princess. When in reality, Hannah has learned how to work it and she works it.
Suzette sees the fury and hatred in the eyes of her child. Suzette just can't get her husband Alex to see it. Alex never sees any of this abnormal hateful behavior Hannah exhibits towards her mother. When Suzette finally fears for her life, Alex begins to see what Hannah really is.
This is an adventure, one I had no idea how it was going to end. When two parents see their one child as two different people. Baby Teeth doesn't disappoint that's for sure.

Review - B.A. Paris' Bring Me Back
Ok, so I have read everything that B.A. Paris has released in the last couple of years. They never disappoint, always keep me on the edge of my seat, and always guessing. Needless to say, Bring Me Back left me guessing until the very end. I NEVER would have guessed this ending. Do the secrets we hide or skeletons we keep in our closets ever really stay hidden?
While driving home from a weekend away, Finn and Layla stop at a rest area. Only one person gets back into the car and only one person is still alive year later.
Years after this fateful stop at a rest area, Finn has moved on, and is engaged to marry someone else. Out of the blue, Finn gets a call, a call that will change everything. Layla has been seen. As much as Finn wants to believe it is in fact Layla, he cannot be certain it is really her.
Paris takes you on a roller coaster of an adventure with Bring Me Back. Definitely a great summer read!
